Wildlife friendly – Teddington

The brief was to create a wildlife friendly garden but can also be enjoyed by people. Hazel fencing was used to screen the vegetable garden and utility area. Planting was designed to provide year round interest and attract beneficial insects and supply birds with food and nesting material. A strip of wild flower meadow was created in the middle of the lawn. A drip pipe automatic irrigation system was installed which proved vital for the plants’ establishment and minimised the amount of water used.

We commissioned Tom to work on our garden. He transformed it into a real haven and the plants he selected have boosted our bird and butterfly numbers. The irrigation system he installed was a saving grace this summer. We are now the envy of our neighbours!.
